The new Werri-Nina Centre will provide something of a ‘headquarters’ for many frail, aged and disabled services that operate in the local shires of Bombala, Cooma-Monaro and the Snowy River.

This includes Home and Community Care (HACC) services, with the centre being considered the ‘base’ for HACC for clientele and staff in the three shires.

Weeri-Nina will the centre-point for all HACC training and staff development in the region, with training workshops to be held in Cooma for all HACC staff within the area.

Carer support and assistance will also be accessed through the centre, with both MP Steve Whan and MP Mike Kelly, who announced the funding for the project, agreeing that our local carers are amongst those who need the most support.
